Where Church and Culture

The Craft outlet Cabin is one of the ministries of the Coalition
for Appalachian Ministry (CAM). Low income crafters from the
Appalachian region sell their handmade items through the CAM
Cabin Craft Store. Items for sale include dolls, quilted goods,
food products, woodcrafts, toys, Christmas ornaments and more.
Monies from the sale of these crafts help to supplement the
crafters income. CAM is a Cooperative Ministry of: The Christian
Reformed Church, The Cumberland Presbyterian Church, The
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, The Presbyterian
Church (USA), The Reformed Church in America.
The
Purpose of Our Craft Store is: To encourage Appalachian crafters
to provide Appalachian made, hand crafted items that share our
culture with the shoppers and purchasers. To provide an outlet
for the sale of Appalachian craft items, To promote the
organizations and crafters who provide the inventory. To supply
an atmosphere in which the values of the Appalachia culture are
lifted up and resources for education in that culture are
available. |
